An artist book exploring the location and history of the Very Large Array (VLA) National Radio Astronomy Observatory in New Mexico.

This projects includes two 3 vertical panel photographs of the VLA along with letterpress printed text. Left panel includes titling and location details and the right panel includes two quotes from Carl Sagan’s book Contact as well as 3 notable VLA discoveries as well as the distance in Light Years (ly). The outer case cover has letterpress printed graphical representation of the 27  radio telescopes that are oriented in a Y shape.

Handset and polymer plate letterpress printed throughout using 36pt Franklin Gothic Std Extra Condensed and 12pt/18pt Bodoni Oldstyle.
